TODAY: UTMB Health Welcomes School Nurses to Campus for Conference

Because school-based health care is so critical to the success and health of our children, the month of February is designated as National School-Based Health Care Awareness Month. Today, UTMB Health will be hosting more than 300 school nurses from our area at the 32nd Annual School Health Conference, “Caring for the Health of our Children” in Levin Hall.  Attendees will be provided current information on top national health priorities and trends in caring for school-age and adolescent children. UTMB Health welcomes all conference guests to our campus. We hope you have a wonderful conference and a pleasant stay in Galveston.

You are invited to attend a breakfast and program on "Procedures and Drugs that Worsen Quality of Life for Dementia Patients" presented by Mukaila Raji, MD from 8 to 9 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 9 at the Island Community Center in the Community Room, 4700 Broadway. The Galveston Aging Care Network seeks to improve the quality of life for aging individuals through awareness and networking with aging care professionals in the Galveston area.
